The Department of Chemistry at The Heritage College of Education, Owo, is dedicated to equipping students with a strong understanding of both the fundamental principles and practical applications of chemistry. By combining lectures, practical experiments, and engaging learning experiences, the department ensures that students are well-prepared to teach chemistry effectively.
i. A senior Secondary School Certificate (SSCE)/ NECO or G.C.E O’ Level with credit passes in five (5) subjects including English language, Mathematics, Chemistry and any other two (2) science subjects in not more than two sittings. Two of the credits must be in the relevant subjects making up the combination.
ii. A Grade II Teacher’s Certificate (TC II) with credit or merit passes in five subjects two of which must be relevant to the course. Credit/ merit in English Language and mathematics are additional requirements.
iii. All candidates wishing to be considered for admission must meet the selection requirements of an accredited body such as JAMB.
