The Department of Mathematics at The Heritage College of Education, Owo, provides students with a strong foundation in mathematical principles and teaching methodologies, ensuring that students gain both theoretical knowledge and practical problem-solving skills.
i. Senior Secondary School Certificate of WAEC or NECO or any other equivalent Certificate from recognized examination bodies with credit in five subjects including English Language and Mathematics at not more than two sittings. Two of the credits must be in the subjects making up the combinations the candidates wish to offer
ii. A Grade II Teacher's Certificate (TC II) with credit or merit in five (5) subjects in not more than two sittings Credits/Merits in English Language and Mathematics are required for candidates wishing to study any science programme.
iii. Pass in Pre-NCE Mathematics final examination or a pass in IMB Mathematics final examination and a pass in JAMB is required for admission.
iv. All candidates wishing to be considered for admission must enroll for and write the selected examination organized by an accredited body such as JAMB.
