The Department of English Language at Heritage College of Education, Owo, is dedicated to enhancing the competence and development of teacher trainees, equipping them with the essential skills for effective language instruction
i. A senior Secondary School Certificate (SSCE)/ NECO or G.C.E O’ Level with credit passes in five (5) subjects including English language, Mathematics and any other three subjects in not more than two sittings. Two of the credits must be in the relevant subjects making up the combination.
ii. A Grade II Teacher’s Certificate (TC II) with credit or merit passes in five subjects two of which must be relevant to the course. Credit/ merit in English Language and mathematics are additional requirements.
iii. All candidates wishing to be considered for admission must meet the selection requirements of an accredited body such as JAMB.
